富士山の成り立ち - Formation of Mount Fuji

富士山は約10万年前から現在の形に成長したと考えられていますが、その前には三つの異なる火山が存在していました。

Mount Fuji is believed to have developed into its current shape about 100,000 years ago, but before that, three different volcanoes existed.

1. 小御岳（こみたけ）火山（約70万年前～20万年前）：富士山の基盤となる古い火山
   Komitake Volcano (about 700,000 to 200,000 years ago): An ancient volcano that formed the base of Mount Fuji.

2. 古富士（こふじ）火山（約10万年前～約1万6000年前）：現在の富士山の下層を形成
   Old Fuji Volcano (about 100,000 to 16,000 years ago): Formed the lower layers of present-day Mount Fuji.

3. 新富士（しんふじ）火山（約1万6000年前～現在）：現在の美しい円錐形の富士山を形成
   New Fuji Volcano (about 16,000 years ago to the present): Created the beautiful conical shape of modern Mount Fuji.

富士山の噴火の歴史 - Eruption History of Mount Fuji

富士山は活火山であり、過去に何度も噴火を繰り返してきました。
Mount Fuji is an active volcano and has erupted multiple times in the past.

特に大きな噴火をいくつか挙げると：
Some of the major eruptions include:

• 約2200年前（弥生時代の噴火）：大規模な噴火で大量の溶岩が流出
  About 2,200 years ago (Yayoi period eruption): A large eruption released a massive amount of lava.

• 864年（貞観大噴火）：青木ヶ原樹海を生んだ溶岩流を発生
  In 864 (Jōgan Eruption): Lava flow created the Aokigahara Forest.

• 1707年（宝永大噴火）：江戸時代最大の噴火。大量の火山灰が降り積もり、現在の「宝永山」を形成
  In 1707 (Hōei Eruption): The largest eruption of the Edo period. A large amount of volcanic ash fell, forming the present-day "Hōei Crater."

現在も富士山は噴火の可能性がある火山として監視されています。
Mount Fuji is still monitored today as a potentially active volcano.
